Northeastern Baseball Falls To New Mexico Military Institute in First Set of 4 Games

Northeastern Baseball traveled to New Mexico Military Institue on Friday, and ended up falling 15-2 in the first of a four game set. Bendan Clelland was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Clelland went 2-3 at the plate. 

Ondrej Vank started the game off for the Plainsmen and ended up taking the loss. Vank went 3.1 innings, giving up 7 runs on 8 hits, striking out four and walking none. Jackson Sheehy went .2 innings, giving up three runs on two hits, striking out one and walking one. Makoy Lucero pitched one inning, giving up four runs on two hits and giving up two walks. CJ Gonzales went for one inning, giving up one run on two hits. Hudson Hoy led the Plainsmen with one RBI going 1-2 on the day. Clelland led Northeastern with two hits in the contest.
