The Lakeland men's soccer team continued their road swing as they traveled to Muskegon Community College to close out their season against the Jayhawks. The Lakers were missing key players on this trip and unfortunately were unable to overcome those deficiencies as they fell 10-0. Lakeland fell into a quick 3-0 hole 15 minutes into the game as the Jayhwaks took advantage of some early mistakes. Lakeland settled down and started to control the play more, but still went into the break trailing 4-0. In the second half, the Lakers switched keepers and started Diego Garcia while moving their keeper Till Oppermann to the forward position. With this change, the game was very balanced as both teams had numerous chances. Garcia did a nice job in net keeping the Lakers in the game as he stopped multiple 1v1 breaks. The Lakers were unable to close the gap as they missed two tap-ins and hit a post. Eventually the Jayhawks cashed in and earned the win over the Lakers.

Ty's Talk: "It's difficult to play back-to-back games when you're down a couple of players on the road. Credit Muskegon as they are a good team that played well. We had our chances to turn the game around, but were just unable to convert. I'm looking forward to the continued development of our freshman and am looking forward to our continued growth next year. Congrats to our sophomores - we thank them for their efforts and wish them continued success."
