Sharks defeat North Florida Prep by 40+
The Miami Dade Sharks rolled past North Florida Prep in a 76-37 win, breaking open the game with a dominant second half. After leading 30-20 at halftime, Miami Dade outscored North Florida 46-17 in the final period to seal the victory. Randy Smith led the Sharks with 20 points, hitting 6 of his 10 attempts from three-point range, along with six rebounds and two steals. Faheim Saintleger Meran added a solid double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Bronson Borlace grabbed 13 boards and chipped in 11 points. Off the bench, Jordan Cooke and Hassan Belkhaddar added a combined 19 points, giving Miami Dade's offense a boost.
Miami Dade's defense held North Florida to just 21.8% shooting and only 10.7% from beyond the arc, forcing 24 turnovers. This defensive effort, combined with the Sharks' 40% shooting from three-point range, allowed them to pull away in the second half. The win improves Miami Dade's record to 3-1 on the year. The Sharks now focus on Palm Beach State College, whom they'll face on Tuesday the 12th.
