Wolverines Close Season Out With Win

Newark, NJ - The Men's Basketball team finished their 2024-2025 season with a win at Del Tech 97-90 on Saturday afternoon. Essex was led by Jaden Reid with 21 points and 4 rebounds, as while as Sophomore Jaidan Gilzene with 19 points and 8 rebounds. For the game, the team shot 67.9% from the field and held their opponents to 35.7%. 

Sophomore Shane Cedres finishes with 9 assists for the game as well, with Johnathan Quiles II finishing with 15 points. The Wolverines never trailed in the game and avenge an earlier defeat to Del Tech that happened on Dec. 17th.

Essex now finishes the first season of newly appointed Head Coach AJ Kemp with a 10-17 overall record and 5-7 in conference play. The off-season begins now, as the Wolverines look to finish the semester strong academically.
