The Bears will travel to Perkinston, Mississippi to take on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs on Thursday January 30, 2025. 

First Pitch is set for 3:00 pm at Ken " Curly" Farris Field

  • Online Tickets will cost $7 for adults and $5 for youth. At the game, the prices go up to $10 and $7.

  • The Baton Rouge Bears played Wharton County Junior College on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at Lamar University. The Bears were defeated by the Pioneers 4-1. 

  • The Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs played Florida Post Grad in a doubleheader on January 25. The Bulldogs swept the series 19-2 and 12-0.

History Between Teams 

  • Mississippi Gulf Coast leads the overall series record with 40 wins and 19 loses. This will be the 58 meeting between these two ball clubs. 

  • These two teams first meet on March 8, 2005, when they split a doubleheader. Mississippi Gulf Coast won game one 2-1 and Baton Rouge won game two 9-8. 

  • The last meeting between the two teams was January 29, 2024 when the Bulldogs would defeat the Bears 12-4.
