For the second time in a week, the Panther women's basketball team took the court against nationally ranked Jefferson Community College. Wednesday night's game, this one at Jefferson, ended the same as last week's, with the Panthers falling to the Cannoneers. The 78-37 final drops Tompkins Cortland to 4-7 overall and 2-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson improves to 8-4 overall and 6-0 in the MSAC.

Cassie Doane (Candor/Owego Free Academy) had her sixth double-double of the season, finishing the night with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Michaela Jean-Philippe (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) collected 12 boards to lead the Panthers in caroms.

Looking ahead

The Panthers are back home Saturday, hosting Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
