Raiders Claim Two Wins on Friday, Defeating Motlow and Miami Dade

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Sam Bradley put on a show Friday, launching three home runs and driving in six runs to lead Northwest Florida State to a commanding 14-4 (6 inning run rule) victory over Motlow State in game one, and 6-3 (7 inning game) victory over Miami Dade in game two.

The Raiders dominated game one against the Bucks, erupting for 14 runs on 12 hits, including four home runs. In game two, a five-run sixth inning powered them to a 6-1 lead over Miami Dade. The Sharks fought back in the seventh, but Bryon Rincones shut the door to secure the win.

GAME ONE vs MOTLOW

Motlow State struck first in the top of the second, plating two runs on a groundout by Tanner Jones and an RBI single from Mykell Murrah. However, the Raiders quickly turned the game around in the bottom half of the inning, erupting for five runs despite recording just one hit. Bradley's three-run bomb to left field proved to be the defining moment, giving the Raiders a 5-2 lead.

Sylas Boris added two more runs with a lune drive homer off the scoreboard, followed by a Henry Allen two-run shot to left, giving the Raiders a 9-3 advantage. The very next at bat, Bradley launched his second homer of the game—a solo shot to right field, putting th Raiders up 10-1.

The Raiders caped the game off with three more runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to seal the six inning run rule, taking game one of Friday's two-game set.

GAME TWO vs. MIAMI DADE

Northwest Florida State secured a 6-3 victory over Miami Dade on Friday, using a five-run sixth inning to break open a tight game at home.

Miami Dade struck first in the third, as Cian Copeland delivered an RBI single on a full count. The Raiders responded in the fifth when Sam Bradley crushed a solo home run to center field, tying the game at 1-1.

The momentum fully shifted in the bottom of the sixth, as Northwest Florida erupted for five runs on three hits. The biggest swing came from David Alvarez, who's RBI triple dove home the go ahead run, setting up the Raiders' rally. Mathew Keller, Henry Allen and Sam Bradley all drove in runs in the innings, which gave the Raiders their 6-1 lead heading into the decisive seventh inning.

The Sharks were able to add two runs on the score board and cut into their deficit, while loading the basses and getting the go-ahead run to the plate. However, veteran righty Bryon Rincones slammed the door on the rally and secured the game two victory.
