Montcalm's Taylen Carver led his team with 14 points and six steals, but his efforts weren't enough to overcome Delta's relentless attack.
While the Pioneers' on-court performance was impressive, the Coaches vs. Cancer event was the true highlight of the night. Players, coaches, and fans united in support of cancer awareness and research, reinforcing the power of sports to bring communities together for a meaningful cause.
"Our freshmen did a great job of slowing down the pace and executing half-court. In practice we've been doing a great job of executing and I'm glad it transitioned over to the game." said head coach Brandon Bennett. "Our bench did a great job of keeping the energy up and when they got in there was no let up on the defensive end and our rotations have been solid. We're going to be a force moving forward."
Final Score:
Montcalm Community College – 57
Delta College – 94
With this victory, Delta College looks to build momentum heading into their next game, fueled by the passion and purpose displayed on this special night.
