
Bees Sting Bears to Take over Third Place
MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield men's basketball team moved into sole possession of third place in the Dallas Athletic Conference, beating Dallas College Brookhaven, 70-65, Wednesday night.
The Harvester Bees (5-14, 4-3 DAC) sit a game behind Dallas College North Lake (10-12, 5-2) for second place in the conference.
Eastfield outscored Brookhaven, 34-21, in the second half. The Bears (6-16, 3-4) led the Bees by eight at the break.
Reggie McDonald hit a couple second half three-pointers, and Delkedric Homes went 8-for-8 at the free throw line as the Harvesters pulled away. McDonald had 12 points, and Holmes finished with 21 and three steals. London Greer added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Brookhaven's Jeremy Roman scored 18 points, and had four steals. Zach Gomez had 12 points and four assists. Anshuman Deora Singh added 10 points and six boards off the bench. He was 4 of 5 from the field.
Eastfield outrebounded Brookhaven, 39-30.
The Harvesters hit 49 percent of their field goals. The Bears shot 41.4 percent.
Eastfield hosts North Lake at 1 p.m. Saturday.
