The SUNY Orange Colts posted an opening round victory over Milwaukee Tech at the NJCAA Division 2 National Championship Tournament Monday by the score of 82-72. The Colts will advance to play North
Central Missouri College Tuesday night. The Colts played very well as a team and had four players score in double digits. Marquis Gill and Jabari Phillip each scored 20 points, Mat Shea had 19 and Daniel Lans posted 14. Shea led Orange with eight rebounds and Lans contributed five assists. The Colts played outstanding team defense holding a tough Milwaukee Tech team to just 36.5 % shooting for the game. Next up for SUNY Orange is a matchup against #2 North Central Missouri College at 8:00 CT Tuesday night.
