Carneys Point, NJ. – Xavier Brewington scored a season high 18 points to lead the Salem Community College men's basketball to a hard fought 78-71 win over Ocean County College, to improve to 3-0 in Region 19, and 4-1 overall with the teams second consecutive win.
Brewington was 5 for 10 from the field while going 7 for 7 from the foul line with 7 rebounds. Rodney Shelton added 10 points for the Mighty Oaks with a team high 8 rebounds. Also in double figures for points for Salem was sophomore guard Niame Scott who had 10 points while shooting 3 for 5 from the field and was perfect from the foul line going 3 for 3.
Salem continues their early season home stand on Thursday November 21 when they will face off against Lancaster Bible College. The Mighty Oaks will face the Chargers at 7:00PM.
