The Marian Ancilla Women's Basketball team hit the road for the second of a 4-game road swing, as they traveled to Henry Ford College in Detroit, Wednesday evening. The Chargers came out a bit slowly, trailing 11-7 after the first quarter, then they proceeded to win each of the final three quarters by eight or more points, en route to a 75-41 victory, moving them to 4-0 on the season.

All 11 Chargers who dressed saw game action, with 9 of them finding the bottom of the net at least one time. Everyone on the team grabbed at least 1 rebound, as well. Freshman guard Aaliyah Keil led the Chargers in scoring with 16 points, plus she added 4 rebounds and 3 steals to her tally. Sophomore guard Nasiya Gause (15 points) and Freshman guard Annika Davis (14 points) also scored in double figures.

Freshman Santana Eubanks led Marian Ancilla in rebounds (6) and steals (4), to go along with her 9 points. Freshman guard Karleisha Echols was again strong off the bench, adding 8 points, 5 rebounds, and a pair of assists to the effort. And Sophomore front-liner Maykayla Washington-Cobb contributed 5 points and 4 rebounds in limited minutes, while getting airborne to block a shot late in the contest.

Overall, Head Coach Ryan Gould was pleased with the effort, "we came out a little sluggish offensively, but a year ago we really struggled on the longer road trips. For this group to have won two road games in a row with another opportunity coming up this Friday, we're hoping it's a good sign of things to come."

The Chargers are next in action at Montcalm Community College on Friday, November 15th. Tip time is set for 5:30 p.m., if you are able to make it. Their next home game will be on Saturday, November 23rd, when they host that same Montcalm team at 1:00 p.m. at the LifePlex. Please come out and support the Chargers!!
