OT victory to start 2025

In their second meeting of the regular season, the Cyclones took another win from the visiting Joliet Junior College Wolves, earning the 71-62 victory in overtime.

Jadea Johnson scored first but the Wolves battled back. Shakila Brownlow ultimately scored the go-ahead points to get her team up 20-14 after the first quarter. The second quarter saw a shooting slump by both teams with the Cyclones narrowly outscoring the Wolves 9-to-7 and still leading 29-21 at the half.

The third and fourth quarters were where Joliet found some scoring rhythm to tie the game at 55 at the end of regulation time. The Cyclones offense led the charge in overtime, however, outscoring the Wolves 16-to-7 for their opening win of 2025.

Johnson led the offense with 22 points and added six rebounds. Brownlow added 14 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Deniza Fuentes added 11 points and two assists. Robin Stevenson collected 10 points and four rebounds.
