Gainesville, FL
Santa Fe (5-9) hosted Southern Crescent Technical College (3-10) in a nonconference matchup on Friday evening, walking away with a 73-66 victory. Santa Fe had early offensive struggles, but Connor Morris made a pair of timely triples to keep the Saints in the ball game. Late in the first half Karmello Branch turned it on with 11 first half points. The Tigers kept things knotted at 31 going into the half. SF put up 42 second half points, as they ran away from the Tigers down the stretch.
Branch finished with 25 points, with four three-point baskets and going 7/9 from the charity stripe. Morris finished with 14 points, while Predrag Panisic and Tre Munson were also in double figures.
The Saints are back in action Wednesday at Daytona State College to open up conference play.
