Greene's 28 Leads Lakers Past Montcalm

SIDNEY, Mich. – Amonti Greene scored a career high 28 points to lead the No. 14 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team to a 96-73 MCCAA North victory over Montcalm on Wednesday (Feb. 5) night. 

Reigning MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week Joe Iung added 18 points for the Lakers (19-3, 8-0 MCCAA North).

De'Antre Griffin and Jayden Hardiman posted 11 points each, while Griffin pulled down seven rebounds and Hardiman had six.

James Wright just missed a double-double with 9 points and seven rebounds.  

Taylen Carver led the host Centurions (10-11, 4-3 MCCAA North) with a game high 30 points. 

Mid outrebounded Montcalm 30-26, while shooting 35-of-68 (51.5%) from the field. 

The Lakers return to Morey Courts on Saturday(Feb. 8) to host North Central Michigan. Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM.
