
TROY, N.Y. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's lacrosse team wrapped up its weekend road trip to New York State with a 17-6 victory over host Hudson Valley on Sunday afternoon. The Riverhawks dropped an 11-8 decision at No. 5 Onondaga on Saturday afternoon.

The Riverhawks ran out to an 11-0 lead by the end of the first quarter, and added two in the second, three in the third and one in the fourth. Jordan Fanzo led AACC with five goals and four assists. Tyson Miller added two goals and an assists, and the Riverhawks got two goals each from Aaron Herdt, Sahil Lengade, and Gavin Raspa.
The Riveherhawks dominated in all facets of the game from faceoffs (20-25) to clears (20-23), and reinvigorated its man-up unit to score five goals with the man advantage in the game.
James Kavney went 9-for-10 at the faceoff x, and Tristan Giesbrecht saw significant time on the draw, going 9-for-11.
Parrish Fleming earned the win with four first-quarter saves. Robert Duda and Rocco Gargano took the reins from there, with Duda making five saves and Gargano totaling three.
at No. 5 Onondaga
Against the fifth-ranked Lazers, AACC led, 2-1, after the first quarter, and poured in six goals in the second quarter to carry an 8-4 lead into halftime. But the Lazers responded in the second half to claim the win.
Miller led AACC with three goals; Fanzo added two goals and an assist in his return to the field. The Riverhawks got solo goals from Herdt, Evan Davidson, and Cullen Boswell. Lengade chipped in with two assists.
Fleming made 17 saves in the complete-game effort. Kavney continued to shine going 14-for-18 at the faceoff x.
AACC returns home to face the College of DuPage at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28, at Siegert Field.
