
BOONEVILLE, MS – The Indians picked up a pair of run-rule wins over Columbia State at the TigerFest in Booneville, highlighted by a no-hitter tossed by Lauren Brown.
Game 2: Indians 8, Columbia State 0 (5 innings)
Brown tossed a five-inning no-hitter, allowing no runs or hits while striking out four and walking two.
Ella Duhon powered the offense with two home runs - a solo shot in the second and a two-run blast during the Indians' five-run fifth inning. She finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs.
Game 1: Indians 17, Columbia State 1 (5 innings)
The Indians exploded for eight runs in the first inning and six more in the fourth, securing a 17-1 victory in five innings.
Laklyn Nichols got the scoring started with an RBI single that brought in Maddie Porter. Ella Duhon followed with a grand slam to center, and Morgan Green added an RBI single to plate Neely Hodum. Porter capped the eight-run first inning with a two-run homer.
In the fourth, Sadie Stegall singled to drive in Taylar Shands, followed by Hodum's two-run double that scored Duhon and Stegall. Jenna Whitfield doubled to bring in Hodum before Lauren Brown lined an RBI single to right, scoring Porter and Whitfield.
Ella Lilly earned the win, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over five innings.
