
SF Wins Third in a Row
Santa Fe played host to Florida State College at Jacksonville on Tuesday afternoon.

Santa Fe fell behind early but grinded out an 8-5 win with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Saints scored two runs in the first inning to take the early lead. The Manta Rays answered with two runs in the top half of the second inning to knot it up at two. The Saints scored on in the second before FSCJ scored two in the third and one in the fourth to take a 5-3 lead. The 5-3 score held until the bottom of the sixth inning when SF started scratching at the lead. A run in the sixth and seventh tied the game at five a piece. The Saints then put up a three spot in the eighth inning to run away with the ball game.
For the first time this season, all nine starters had at least one base hit for SF. This included multi-hit games for Zack Dejesus and Ryan Chase. Chase led the Saints at the plate going 3-5 with two RBI and one run scored. Chase also had a triple on the afternoon. Dejesus went 2-4 with two runs scored and a walk. Three Saints hit a two-bagger, including, Robert Nedry, Kyler Nowling, and Griffin Sorrow. The Saints threw seven different pitchers in the win. Brady Wright received the start and went 2.0 innings. Dylan Lovelace took over in the eighth inning as he received the win. Stephen Joyce threw the last 0.2 innings and received a save.
The Saints are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Central Florida to start the three-game conference series. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM ET.
