Harrisburg, PA- The HACC Hawks men's basketball team fought hard but came up short in their matchup against Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC), losing 84-78 in a thrilling contest on Saturday Feb. 15, 2025.
Both teams came out strong in the first half, exchanging blows and trading baskets, with neither side able to seize a significant advantage. The Hawks showed resilience, keeping pace with Atlantic Cape, and despite some moments of struggle, managed to finish the first half tied. With both teams at 40 points each at the break, it was clear this game was going to come down to the wire.
However, in the second half, Atlantic Cape was able to capitalize on some crucial opportunities. Despite the Hawks' relentless effort and several strong individual performances, the Atlantic Cape team made a few key stops and shots in the final minutes, pulling away for the 84-78 victory.
The game's outcome was a bitter pill to swallow for HACC, who had hoped to extend their momentum from a strong first half. Nevertheless, the Hawks displayed significant grit and determination, with standout performances across the board.
Notable Performances: HACC was led by Amyr Fox who finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists. Logan Sax also contributed significantly, scoring 13 points and providing crucial energy on the court. Following was Aidan Littleton who rallied 12 points for the Hawks offense and Trey Slayton captured 10 points.
