OCC Women's Basketball Struggles Against RCSJ Gloucester, 77-39

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball absorbed a tough home loss against the visiting Runners of RCSJ Gloucester on Thursday (11/14), 77-39.

Hampered by the loss due to injury of starting guard Angie Matthews, the Vikings struggled offensively, shooting just 19% from the field (12 for 62) and 10% from 3-point range. Ocean freshman guards Brooke Schmidt and Tatiana Hernandez led Viking scoring with 14 and 12 points, respectively, while sophomore Ashanti Boothe pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out 3 assists while scoring 9 in the tough loss.

The Vikings will regroup and return to the court on Saturday, November 16 when they head to Northampton CC for a 12 P.M. tip off.
