Jayhawks Dominate Against Milwaukee Area Tech

A great Saturday afternoon took place for the Lady Jayhawks as they played at home versus the Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers.
The Lady Jays started off with a powerful first half holding the Stormers to only 16 points before half time. A strong defense and fast attack shooting from Freshman Anna Lundquist were key to maintaining our lead in the first half of the game. The Stormers came out tougher in the second half and made a run or two but ultimately the Jayhawks were able to maintain their lead and chase the Stormers out 60-40.
Leading players of the game were Anna Lunquist (#30) had 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Arrionna Willams (#20) with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. TyVeonna Davis (#23) with 11 points, and 7 rebounds. Kennedy Adams (#11) also added 5 rebounds to the stats.
Head Coach Jason Cooper quickly stated after the game, "It was a great win, and I am seeing a lot of improvements. We still have a long way to go, but I am really excited about the direction we are going."
The Jayhawks just added a game to the schedule for Tuesday. They play Macomb Community College at home @6:00 in the Bartel-Rodes Gymnasium.
