
The women's volleyball team hosted the Mountain Valley Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Raiders matched up against the Hudson Valley Vikings who edged out SUNY Adirondack in the opening match, 3-2.
FMCC took care of the Vikings, 3-0 for the crown. They defeated HVCC by scores of 25-4, 25-15 and 25-17. Jayden DeVellis and Amber Cole were named to the Tournament Team and Grace O'Brien was named MVP.
The victory marked Head Coach Tina Olyer's 100th win. In just six seasons, Olyer has reached the milestone with a 100-39 (.719) record.
FMCC will now gear up for the Region 3 Championship Tournament where they look to bring home the title for the third straight year. The Lady Raiders have earned the #2 seed with a 13-1 Region 3 record. They will take on either Niagara or Genesee on Saturday, November 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in the opening round. The tournament will be held at Niagara Community College.
