MBB Thwarted at Muskegon

MUSKEGON -- The Community Christian College Men's Basketball team was upended on the road by Muskegon on Tuesday night, 76-69. The Lions slipped to 10-7 on the season.

DaiQuan Coach had 16 points and five rebounds, shooting 2-for-12 from the floor and 11-for-14 from the line. Trey West added 10 points off the bench, taking nine shots, making four.

Derald Blackmon had 14 points and 11 boards.

It was even throughout the 1st half, with the biggest lead on either side being 4. DC3 led at the half, 30-29.

Towards the end of the 2nd half, Muskegon went on a 15-5 run to lead 62-55. Community Christian would take a run of their own and trail by only 1 with 2:30 remaining. From there, the Jayhawks would keep scoring layups to put the game away.

The Lions return to action on Thursday, against Bryant & Stratton (OH). Tipoff at The Dearborn Academy is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
