Another Successful STLCC Men's Basketball Shootout
On Sunday, December 10, STLCC hosted another thrilling Men's Basketball Shootout. The event featured several exciting matchups
Game 1: STLCC Archers vs. Kaskaskia College Blue Devils
Both teams had standout performances, with Lyonel Hodges (Kaskaskia) and Darric Smith (STLCC) each scoring 27 points. STLCC's superior free throw shooting (81.0%) and ability to capitalize on turnovers were key factors in their victory. Despite Kaskaskia College shooting 47.4% from the field compared to STLCC's 50.9%, STLCC's strong performance in free throw shooting and ability to capitalize on turnovers ultimately led them to victory. Both teams had their fair share of turnovers, with Kaskaskia College committing 22 and STLCC committing 18. "Our team's resilience and focus on fundamentals, especially at the free-throw line, made the difference today," said STLCC Coach Terry Collins.
Overall, it was a hard-fought game between the two teams, but STLCC's strong performance in free throw shooting and ability to capitalize on turnovers ultimately led them to victory.
Game 2: Missouri State University - West Plains vs. Parkland College

Game 4: Moberly Area Community College vs. John A. Logan
- Result: Moberly won 75-58.
Game 5: Mineral Area vs. Lewis & Clark Community College
- Result: Mineral Area won 102-72.
