GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell here Monday night, 84-77, to the Itawamba Lady Indians to end the regular season.
Holmes finished the regular season 13-16 overall and 6-8 in the MACCC. Holmes will travel to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community on Thursday in the first round of the Region 23 Tournament as the No. 10 seed. Gulf Coast is the No. 7 seed.
Holmes led 42-37, but the Lady Indians outscored the Lady Bulldogs 47-35 in the second half to pull out the win.
Bella Roberts led the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points while Julissa Claxton had 14 and Kamren Edwards had 12. Kiara Shelly had 11 rebounds in the game.
