Daytona State Women's Soccer Advances to Southeast District Final with 2-0 Victory Over Southern Union State CC

Daytona Beach, FL — The Daytona State College Women's Soccer team secured their spot in the Southeast District Final with a decisive 2-0 win against Southern Union State Community College on Friday. This victory marks a significant milestone for the Falcons as they advanced to the Southeast District tournament for the first time in school history.

Goals from Sophia Varga and Shaneil Buckley in the 8th and 64th minutes of play sealed the win for Daytona State, demonstrating their determination and teamwork. Alejandra Espinosa would add an assist, as well as Valeria Vasquez.

Head Coach Hope Clark praised the team's effort, stating, "Our players showed incredible resilience and focus today. Each match brings us one step closer to our goal, and I'm proud of how they performed."

The Falcons will now prepare for the Southeast District Final, scheduled for November 2, where they will face Region 8 foe, Eastern Florida.
