Cape Fear vs Guilford Tech

Cape Fear wins 95-53

Highlights: After a long break from competition, the Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team returned to the court Monday night and wasted no time asserting their dominance, cruising past the Guilford Tech Titans with a 95-53 win.

From the opening tip, the Sea Devils set the tone with high-energy play, smothering defense, and a relentless offensive attack. Cape Fear controlled the pace from start to finish, leaving little doubt about the outcome. With a deep bench rotation, nearly every Sea Devil saw playing time, while Guilford Tech struggled to keep up with their short roster.

De'Mya Phifer sparked the team early, knocking down quick buckets and finishing the night with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jaida Cameron led all scorers with 19 points, while Nevaeh Farmer and Ja'Kea Brunson each contributed 15 points. The Sea Devils' depth was on full display, as Yamorie Hardison (12 points), Janell Sindab (14 points), and Maleigha Jackson (8 points) brought energy and scoring off the bench to help seal the dominant victory. Amyrikal Vaught led in rebounds with 8 in total.

"We're very happy with this well-rounded team win," says Head Coach Taylor Todd-Williams. "We have shifted our focus to measurable goals as a unit where we continue to reach them and the wins just follow suit. That's how we will continue to grow and be better each time we step onto the floor."
