Mighty Oaks Win With Seconds Left

Carneys Point, NJ. – Niame Scott's lay up with 3 seconds left in regulation gave Salem Community College a 83-82 win over Bucks County Community College in the second game of the 2024-25 season.  The Mighty Oaks rallied back only taking their first lead of the game with just 33 seconds left in regulation.

Shyheed Taylor led a balanced Mighty Oaks attack with 16 points, that saw four SCC players in double figures. Stefan Phillips contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds to record the teams first double-double of the young season.  Tyrese Fortune also had a double-double on the game scoring 11 points and pulling down 13 boards.  To go along with his last second heroics, Scott added 12 points on the night for the Mighty Oaks.

Salem will continue its home stand as they will host Delaware Technical Community College on Thursday November 14 at the DuPont Fieldhouse with a 7:00 start time.
