SUNY Niagara remains unbeaten

SUNY Niagara continued its hot start to the season, winning a pair of non-conference games this past weekend. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 10-0 overall. The Wolfpack returns to the court at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a non-conference road tilt at Finger Lakes Community College. 

SUNY Niagara 95, CCAC Allegheny 62

All five starters were in double figures as the Wolves built a 51-30 halftime lead. Sophomore Jamyier Patton had 21 points and five rebounds, classmate Camron Dyer netted 21 points and second-year guard Jalen Duff finished with 16 points, six boards and four assists. Also for the winners, sophomore Daniel Reyes had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore Bobby Beilein chipped in with 10 points.

SUNY Niagara 72, Garrett College 61

The Wolves were balanced once again in the victory over the previously-unbeaten Lakers. Freshman Chioke Marshall had 16 points and five rebounds, Duff added 14 points, five boards and five assists and Patton contributed 13 points and six boards. Reyes had a second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Dyer chipped in 10 points and six boards.
