Sugar Grove and Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team fell in a pair of conference games this week.

The Spartans move to 3-11 overall and 0-2 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play.

Jan. 7: ECC 53, Waubonsee 66

Valeria Costilla led the team in points (17), rebounds (15) and steals (five) as Alisea Doan registered a team-high seven assists.

Jan. 9: McHenry 84, ECC 62

Mia Calderon scored a season-best 20 points, with five three-pointers, and a team-best six steals. Izzy Vidallo, Costilla and Abigail Esparza each grabbed eight rebounds.

The Spartans are back on the road to face Moraine Valley on Tuesday at 5:15 p.m.
