Eagles Drop Regular Season Finale

Boone, IA- The Kirkwood Eagles came up short against the DMACC Bears in a crucial matchup for the top spot in the conference. Germaine Benson provided a spark off the bench with 13 points, while James Spencer added 12.

Shooting struggles hurt the Eagles throughout the game. In the first half, they shot just 28.9% from the field and 26.7% from three-point range. Although they improved in the second half, shooting 47.8% from the field and 33.3% from deep, turnovers proved costly. Kirkwood committed 15 turnovers, leading to 32 points for DMACC.

The Eagles now shift their focus to the regional tournament, which begins this Saturday. They will host the NIACC Trojans at Johnson Hall in the first round, with tip-off set for 3:00 PM.
