Highlights: Cape Fear Community College's men's basketball team picked up a crucial road victory on Wednesday night, defeating Wake Tech 74-70 in a well-fought matchup.

Strong and consistent play allowed the Sea Devils to build two double-digit leads throughout the game. Managing those leads and improving ball movement remain areas of focus, but this performance showcased the team's ability to persist and bring home wins in gritty situations.

JJ Moore set the tone early with a strong start, while Jefferson McLamb kept the scoring momentum going in the first half. Off the bench, Jack McErlean delivered in clutch moments, hitting timely three-pointers down the stretch. Defensively, Avion Pinner stepped up late in the game, helping secure key stops. In the final seconds, Moore sealed the win by nailing important buckets at the free throw line.

"I always tell our guys that road wins are gold," says Head Coach Mark Lane. "We are growing more comfortable with holding our leads once we get them. Our focus is to continue sharing the ball more and playing the best team basketball we can going into these next conference games at home."
