Mott falls in MCCAA semifinals to No. 12 GRCC
LANSING, Mich. - The Mott Community College volleyball team took on No. 12 Grand Rapids Community College in the semifinals of the MCCAA Championship Tournament on Saturday in Lansing, Mich.
The Bears jumped out to a one set lead with a 25-17 win in the first, but GRCC took the next three 25-21, 25-22, 25-16 to earn the win and snap the Mott 19-match win streak. The loss drops Mott to 23-5 overall.

Chloe Vanwinkle led the offense with 16 kills, adding a team-high 17 digs.

Montgomery Rotter finished with 13 kills and 10 figs.

Ruby Earl added nine kills, 12 digs, and four block assists.

Courtney Nye recorded seven kills and a team-high six block assists.

Skyler Cramer finished with 41 assists, 14 digs, and two block assists.

Brooklyn Wilcox added eight digs.

The Bears finished with 12 block assists as a team.

Mott enters the 2024 Region XII Great Lakes District A Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will take on the winner of Lake Michigan College and Cuyahoga Community College at 6 pm on Thursday at the SC4 Fieldhouse in Port Huron, Mich.
