
NIACC falls to Wilbur Wright College, 88-81
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 88-81 decision to Wilbur Wright College Friday night at the Konigsmark Klassic.
Wilbur Wright College led 41-35 at the half and outscored the Trojans 47-46 in the second 20 minutes to claim the seven-point victory. The Rams were led by DeAndre Miller with 21 points and Javaris St. Fort with 14 points.
NIACC was led by sophomore Adam Hackett with 24 points and 13 rebounds for his second career double-double. Hackett scored a career-high 26 points with a career-best 14 rebounds against Western Iowa Tech on Feb. 21, 2024.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Omarion Roberts scored 19 points with five assists and three steals. Sophomore Brayden Drea and freshman Jaheim Savage both scored 11 points.
Drea led the Trojans with six assists. Savage collected six rebounds.
NIACC returns to action at 5 p.m. Saturday against DCTC in the final game of the annual Konigsmark Klassic.
