Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball earned their 4th win of the season in dominant fashion, picking up a 79-37 victory against the visiting Cougars of Lehigh Carbon CC on Saturday (12/14).
OCC freshman guard Tatiana Hernandez scored 28 points and brought down 11 rebounds in a lopsided win that saw the Vikings facing a 5-player Cougars team that found difficulty keeping up with Ocean's coordinated attack. Sophomore Ashanti Boothe's 19 points scored today was her season-best, while freshman Brooke Schmidt remained the consistent force she has been through this season, with a 12-point, 9-rebound, 6-assist effort.
The Vikings next take the court for their last game before winter break, a 5 P.M. home matchup versus Sussex County CC (Club Team) on Tuesday, December 17.
