The Delta College Pioneers softball team has kicked off their 2024-25 season, experiencing a series of challenging matchups. The team has secured three victories against five defeats in their initial eight games.
The Pioneers started strong with a 14-6 win over Fayetteville Technical CC on March 3. However, later that day they faced a loss to USC Union, 15-2. The following day, they suffered a narrow defeat against Schoolcraft College, 3-1. However, the team rebounded later that day with a hard-fought win over Frederick Community College, edging them out 5-4. On March 6, Delta College continued their momentum by defeating Olney Central College, 3-2, but later fell to Kaskaskia College, 7-3. They finished out their trip with two unfortunate losses to Lincoln Trail College, 3-2, and Harford Community College, 5-1.
