Kougars get road victory in OT over Harper

February 8, 2025 - The Kishwaukee College Womens Basketball team travelled to Palatine on Saturday to take on Harper College. Kish would hold leads of 30-22 at the half and 43-35 after three quarters but the Hawks managed to send it to overtime. Yet, the Kougars would prevail in the extra period as Mariah Drake came up with a big steal in the final minute and Precious French and Kara Martinez making two clutch free throws each on intentional fouls in the final 14 seconds to seal the win. Precious French led Kish with 28 points followed by Mariah Drake and her 14 points, Loretta Atkinson with 12 points plus 13 rebounds and Kara Martinez had 10 points.  Brooklyn Rylko had 9 blocks and 4 rebounds and Assata Shah grabbed 4 rebounds as well.  Kishwaukee will travel to Highland on Tuesday night before returning home on Thursday, February 13 to host Arrowhead Conference foe Illinois Valley CC in the annual Pink Zone game which raises money to donate to the Play for Kay Yow Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.  Game time Thursday is 5:30 pm.
