MCC Women's Basketball Dominates Alpena 100-46
5 Different Jayhawks Score in Double Figures in win.
The MCC women's basketball team played Alpena Community College in their first conference game of the season and first game back after a two-week break.
The Lady Jayhawks started with a strong offense in the first half of the game, holding off slightly defensively. At halftime, the Jayhawks had a 28-point lead. In the second half, the Jayhawks pushed to have a better defensive game, and it showed. By the end of the 4th, the Lady Jayhawks defeated the Lady Lumberjacks 100-46.
Top players of the game were Tyvi Davis (#23) with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Arrionna Williams (#20) with 21 points and 4 assists. Remi Sponseller (#12) with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Anna Lundquist (#30) had a double double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 blocks. And Molli Schultz with 12 points, plus 5 rebounds.
Head coach Jason Cooper was pleased with the win this afternoon; "We had a great offensive game tonight. You know scoring 100 points is amazing. I'm really happy how the girls worked over the break, and it showed in the game tonight."
