FLINT - The Mott Community College softball team clinched the MCCAA Eastern Conference championship with a sweep of Henry Ford College at home on Tuesday.
The Bears used dominant pitching for a pair of 5-0 shutouts to move to 32-7 overall and 23-1 in the MCCAA. The Eastern Conference crown is the second-straight, and 10th all-time for Mott.
Game One Highlights:

Arika Hines (14-2) went all seven innings, allowing three hits, two walks, and struck out 14.

Heaven Helkowski recorded one hit, one RBI, a run scored, a walk, and three steals.

Emma Benner added a double and a run scored.

Alexis Hemker finished with a hit, an RBI, and a steal.
Game Two Highlights:

Maggie Boehm moved to 17-4 on the season with seven scoreless innings. She allowed three hits, one walk, and struck out 13.

Keira McGarvie recorded one hit, two walks, two runs, and two steals.

Josie Spencer and Eva Opper each added a hit and a run scored.

Mott travels to Schoolcraft College for the final regular season road doubleheader of the season at 1 pm on Saturday in Livonia, Mich. The Ocelots handed the Bears their lone conference loss of the season back in March.
