Seahawks Slip Past Prince George's
LARGO - Shaun Chandler nailed a mid-range jumper with nine seconds to play to give Cecil a 84-83 win over Prince George's on Friday evening.
The sophomore guard led the Seahawks off the pine with 10 points and fell one assist short of a double-double. Chandler's final bucket came as Cecil trailed by two as time was winding down.
Fellow sophomores Jaiden Guy and Darrien Berrios-Rivera were hyper-efficient from the field, making 21-of-26 attempts as a duo. Guy finished with 28 points while Berrios-Rivera dropped 20.
Cecil's first Region 20 win moves them to 1-1 on the year and an 8-3 mark overall.
