Mason City, Iowa - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team suffered a pair of losses in their opening weekend.
Nov. 1: ECC 51, Ellsworth 79
Team leaders included Valeria Costilla in points (18) and assists (four), Jordan McIntosh in rebounds (eight) and McIntosh and Nicole Ramtahal in steals (three).
Nov. 3: ECC 72, No. 10 North Iowa Area 92
Mcintosh led the team in points (27) and blocks (one). Costilla and McIntosh each had five steals and Costilla grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
The Spartans are back on the road to face College of DuPage on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
