The Erie men's basketball season came to an end with a loss in the Region III semi-finals. The Kats fell 74-62 to Monroe Community College.
Erie went into the halftime break with a one point lead, 31-30. The tight game continued for the first ten minutes of the second half with the teams trading scores before Monroe would begin to pull ahead for the win.
Julienn Clements led the team in points with 13 along with knocking down three rebounds. Kydale Staten added 11 points and five rebounds while Eddie Beverly was also in double digits with 10 points and five rebounds.
Two Kats were rewarded with All Region honors for their season long play. David Stroud was named to the All Region first team while Beverly was named to the second team.
