On Tuesday November 12th, the Bristol Bayhawks hosted the Northern Essex Community College Knights, who are the back-to-back Region XXI Champions, and are currently ranked 11^th in the Country. The Bayhawks were coming off a road win over the Nationally ranked Hostos Community College in Bronx NY. The stage was set for an opportunity that the Bayhawks took advantage of by pulling off a 73-64 win over the Knights after being up 37-26 at halftime. Bristol now starts the season off with 3-0 overall record.

 

Bristol was led by Freshman Jason Andrews (Seekonk MA) who scored 18 points, including 13 in the final 10 minutes of the game. Sophomores Darien Gibson (New Bedford MA) had 16 points, Camden Morin (New Bedford MA) 12 points and captain Curran Farnworth (New Bedford MA) chipped in with 10 points.

 

Bristol will travel to Mount Ida campus of Umass Amherst to face Massbay Community College on Thursday, November 14th for a 6pm game. The Bayhawks will return home Saturday, November 16th at 1pm to host Springfield Tech Community College. All home Region games will be live streamed on the Bristolcc Youtube page.
