3-Point Barrage lifts SUNY Adirondack Men's Basketball to another blow-out win

The SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves men's basketball team continued their dominant play with a resounding 111-73 victory over Cayuga Community College on Sunday afternoon. Coming off an impressive 40-point blowout win over Finger Lakes, the Timberwolves were firing on all cylinders from the opening tip, setting a school record with 69 points in the first half.
SUNY Adirondack was scorching hot from beyond the arc, shooting 17-for-31 (54.8%) from three-point range, showcasing their offensive depth and shooting precision. Leading the charge was freshman Mariano Dicaterino, who came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points, including an incredible 7-of-9 performance from deep. Jaylan Sammy also found his rhythm from long range, knocking down five three-pointers and finishing with 19 points.
In addition to their outside shooting, the Timberwolves saw a well-rounded performance from Messiah McLaurin, who tallied 16 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. Tyre Williams added 13 points, contributing to the team's explosive offensive output.
The Timberwolves' 69 first-half points set a new benchmark for the program, underscoring the team's dynamic offensive capabilities and relentless pace. The victory improves SUNY Adirondack's record to 7-2, marking their best start in over 25 years.
SUNY Adirondack will return to the court on Wednesday, December 11, at 7:00 PM for a home matchup against division rival North Country Community College. The Timberwolves are eager to build on their strong start and keep the momentum going into their competitve conference schedule.
