
The men's basketball competed in the Region 3 Championship quarterfinal game for the fourth consecutive season on Friday. They traveled to Herkimer College to take on the #1 seeded Mohawk Valley Hawks.
The Raiders jumped out to a strong start in the first half, but the Hawks used a relentless defensive effort to aid in a 10-point lead at halftime. The Hawks outscored the Raiders 42-24 in the second half to seal the 80-52 victory.
Milos Cirovic led with 14 points and 4 assists, Bogdan Bogunovic followed with 13 points and Johnardo Turner with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
The Raiders finish with a 12-13 overall record and finished with a 47.3 field goal percentage which was the second highest in the region.
"It wasn't a season for the record books as far as wins and losses, but what I will always love and appreciate about this group is that they are great kids in the community, on campus and on the court. They faced their share of adversity and never complained. They showed up every day willing to be coached and playing tough for each other. I am excited to follow their careers going forward," said Head Coach Ej Gallup.
