COLBY, Kan. - The Colby Community College Trojans women's basketball team hosted Pratt Community College in an important home Jayhawk conference game. The Trojans picked up the victory 82-27 on Saturday. Each game-loving forward contributed to the Trojans' earning a home game in the Region 6 playoff tournament starting March 8.
The Trojans came out of the gate strong, using their usual stingy defensive play. They took care of the ball, executed their offense, and scored at a high clip.
"We needed this game and after some highly competitive games recently, it was nice to have e a game like this where our players could play loose and see the ball go through the basket. This was a good team win and we build off it, as we move forward to some tough games ahead. Our goal of playing a home playoff game is still in the cards for us and we are working hard for it. " added Coach Spence.
The Trojans return to action on the road Wednesday (19th) at Seward County Community College.
