Lions Tripped Up at Schoolcraft

LIVONIA -- The Community Christian College Men's Basketball team was upended on the road by Schoolcraft on Saturday afternoon, 84-66. The Lions slipped to 8-5 on the season.

DaiQuan Coach had 19 points and eight rebounds, shooting 4-for-15 from the floor and 11-for-13 from the line. Trey West added 14 points off the bench, getting to the line seven times, making five.

Shauntez Cain had 10 points and seven boards before fouling out.

Platteville (5-4) built a 14-point lead over the first 12 minutes of action, and the Lions spent the rest of the half battling back. DC3 trailed at the break, 41-21.

In the second half, a 22-4 run brought Community Christian to within two at 45-43. After that, the Ocelots went on a 37-15 run to close it out.

Community Christian returns to action Thursday, with a rematch against Marian University Ancilla. Tipoff in Plymouth, IN is scheduled for 7:30pm.
