Decatur, MS-The East Central Community College men's basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Thursday night, defeating Community Christian College of Louisiana 105-58 at Brackeen Wood Gymnasium. The Warriors dominated every facet of the game, putting their offensive firepower and defensive prowess on full display.

Leading the way was Hamza Ghoulial, who turned in a jaw-dropping double-double performance with 26 points and 21 rebounds. Ghoulial was a force inside, controlling the boards and converting efficiently, shooting 13-of-17 from the field.

Connor Rogers also had a stellar night, contributing 21 points off the bench, including a near-perfect 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Starter Cameron Lee added 16 points, narrowly missing a double-double with nine rebounds.

The Warriors set the tone early, building a 48-24 lead by halftime. Their ability to dominate the glass was pivotal, as they outrebounded their opponents 68-34. East Central shot an efficient 55% from the field, while their defense held Community Christian to just 44% shooting, including a meager 14% from beyond the arc.

The team also moved the ball well, amassing 20 assists, with Javin Cooper leading the way with six. Defensively, the Warriors capitalized on turnovers and protected the rim with 10 blocked shots.

"We played a complete game tonight," said head coach Dylan Shields. "Hamza was phenomenal in the paint, and Connor and Cameron gave us great production. Our depth and teamwork made the difference."

The win puts East Central in a favorable position early in the season, with a 7-4 record. With performances like this, the Warriors are proving to be a formidable force as they gear up for conference play. Their next home game versus Region 22 Reid State Technical College will see them look to continue their momentum.
