As a result, the Hornets took a 17-point loss, 101-84, in their final home game of the season.
Offensively, Ponce Williams was the star of the show for SUNY Broome. He exploded for a season-high 21 points and added three rebounds and two steals. Amauri Truax had 20 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Connor Green went for 13 points and nine boards, while Braeden Davis made three of four shots from three-point land and ended with 11 points.
The Hornets shot 43.8% from the field, 34.6% from three-point range, and 73.1% from the free-throw line. SUNY Broome was outrebounded by Genesee, however, and committed twice as many turnovers in the loss.
Broome fell to 9-14 and 7-6 in MSAC play.
