WEST BURLINGTON - The No. 5 Southeastern CC baseball team topped NIACC 17-5 on Sunday in the series finale.
Southeastern CC (19-6 overall, 4-0 in the ICCAC) scored five runs in the first inning, two runs in the second inning, eight runs in the fourth frame and pushed across single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
NIACC (7-17, 0-5) scored a single run in the third inning, two runs in the third inning and two runs in the seventh frame.
NIACC leadoff hitter Payton Fort was 2-4, including a solo home run. The Trojans' Lincoln Becker had a double and two RBIs.
NIACC also received singles from Cody Haynes, Jack McDonough, Tommy Lyman, Connor Mitchell and Justyn Rivera.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC twinbill at Southwestern CC in Creston. The first game is slated to start at 1 p.m. in Creston.
